Beautiful view and had plenty of room for my guests.

We held our wedding reception in the ballroom at Casa Del Mar about a month ago... Everything was wonderful! The staff was pleasant, the food was delicious and everyone worked so hard to make our wedding the most special day ever. Everyone really took care of us! Bruce Hochberger was our event director and did an unbelievable job. We could not have asked for a more perfect day.

They were just fantastic!

The Ballroom and outdoor area of the Casa del Mar is gorgeous. The hotel rooms, especially the ones on the beach are just fantastic as well as the bridal suite (they even had a directors chair they sent in for make-up and hair). Michael Kossart was always very helpful and professional. He was very responsive , efficient, personable and able to deal with difficult type-A personalities. Everyone raved about the passed appetizers and the food. The venue is beautiful and the beach background provided a beautiful backdrop for fun and interesting photos.

Everything!! This is not your typical hotel or ballroom. It used to be a private beach club in the 1920, for Santa Monica's elite. It is right on the Pacific Ocean. The Venetian glass chandeliers, and the mouldings and all the intricate details in the room are reminiscent of old Hollywood. There are French doors that open onto and enclosed verandah just steps from the ocean. My guests were able to watch the sun set during my ceremony!;It costs an arm and a leg!! Nothing is included, so all the beautiful special tocuhes you want to add will make a huge dent in your bank account. For example the standard chairs included are really ugly banquet chairs suitable for a business meeting, but not a wedding, especially in this amazing venue. The hotel knows no bride will settle for the standard banquet chairs so, they have in-house rental of Chivari chairs for $8 or chair covers for $5. However they will allow you to use an outside vendor for your chaircovers at no extra charge. The same cannot be said for the wedding cake. They have 2 preferred bakeries for you to choose from, however the least expensive option at either place is $8/slice for a basic cake. If you choose to use an outside vendor for your cake, then the hotel charges a $6/slice cutting and plating fee.

The hotel was completely refurbished in a 1920's style which went perfect with our theme. It's in an amazing location, right on the beach and next to the Santa Monica pier, which made for some spectacular pictures! The ballroom is unlike any other ballroom I had seen. It has gorgeous chandeliers and a beautiful outdoor area on the beach. I could not recommend this venue more!
